Meet the Artist
I’m the creator, designer, maker, packager, and everything in between. Every piece that leaves the studio has been lovingly crafted and carefully handled by me from start to finish. This is a one-woman studio built on passion, intention, and a deep love for functional art.

Originally from the South of England, I now call Byron Bay, Australia, home. Art has always been my sanctuary, a tool for disconnecting from the world and self-soothing. It has been my safe space, where I can fully express myself. My inspiration comes from the places I visit, the moments I experience, and the feelings that arise in the present.
I am deeply driven by the belief that the creative process supports healing and that self-expression can become a form of medicine for the soul.
Working with clay brought me back to myself. It taught me patience, stillness, and surrender. The rhythm, texture, and grounding nature of clay helped me reconnect with joy, presence, and healing. To feel safe, calm, and relaxed. I have always been fascinated by creating cozy environments that encourage stillness and calm. Lighting, in particular, is essential, too bright can be overwhelming. Every lamp I make is designed to bring joy to the physical body while also soothing the eyes and enhancing the atmosphere.
At Zonnebloem Studios, every piece is entirely unique. Just as we, as individuals, cannot be replicated, so too should the precious things around us be one of a kind.
For those who may not know, Zonnebloem means sunflower in Dutch. Zonnebloem is a tribute to my partner’s Dutch heritage and his support throughout this journey. It is also deeply tied to my late mother’s favorite flower.
I hope you feel a connection and joy through my creations. Thank you for being here and sharing in this journey with me!
